Down by the Waterside

Today was the annual "water communion" at my church. Over the summer, people collect a small bit of water from some place special to them, and then at the service we have time to reflect and pour the water into a collective bowl. A bit of water from last year (which included some from the year before, and the year before, etc.) was also added to the bowl. The result is a collective soup of our stories and history.

A number of years ago I started spontaneously and informally photographing my feet (mostly) by water on adventures far and near. I like taking the photo from my perspective, with my feet facing forward, to document that I had been there (wherever there was) and seen that. Today I present the first official compilation of my feet + view.
